Fall/Winter 2025

President's Report

On behalf of the Board and myself I would like to extend our thanks to the community for a wonderful summer and fall season. Community use of the Reservation this summer has been exciting and rewarding to witness, especially on holiday weekends.

I would like to thank the members of the board and our advisors, for their commitment and dedication to the community. The beach committee was able to staff the beach with lifeguards and keep the beach open nearly every day thanks to Roey Ficaro and Ryan Lang. The marina is in great shape and continues to be a fantastic home for the many members who have boats thanks to Ken Neary’s watchful eye on things.

This summer we completed the replacement of the basketball hoop and painted half court lines making it much nicer for the many members who take advantage of playing on it. As I begin my last year as President, I am very thankful to have an active board and a group of advisors who all volunteer their time to maintain and improve Clearwater Beach.

Our annual meeting was held at the Springs School again this year. Our search for another venue that can host us and support Zoom has not turned up a better place to hold the meeting. The six incumbent board members up for reelection were elected back to the board. After many years on the board, George Lombardi decided to resign so that the board could appoint a new member to replace him. George has been an invaluable long-time board member, past president and has helped improve Clearwater in so many ways during his tenure. George will continue on as an advisor to the board to assist and advise us on special projects.

Ryan Lang has been working with Roey on the beach committee helping manage the lifeguards for the past two years. In September, the board appointed Ryan to fill the vacant board seat. Ryan has also volunteered to become the beach committee head, replacing Roey who previously held that position. Many thanks to both Ryan and Roey for their past and future work on beach committee.

Winter’s touch is nearing Clearwater Beach. The days drift into dusk a little sooner, the breezes carry a cooler song, and the birds take flight toward warmer skies. Our sunsets still paint the horizon in colors that steal the breath away.

As the holidays draw near, the Clearwater Beach Board and I wish you a season with joy, laughter, and the warmth of time spent with those you hold dear.
